Oneida Health Foundation Golf Classic Raises Over $126,000 for Patient Care
New Hartford, NY (June 1, 2026) — The Oneida Health Foundation hosted a highly successful Annual Golf Classic at Yahnundasis Golf Club on Seneca Turnpike in New Hartford, bringing in just over $126,000 in support for critical patient care needs at Oneida Health.
Under clear skies and perfect weather, the event marked an ideal start to the summer golf season, bringing together community members, local businesses, and supporters for a day of camaraderie and philanthropy.
Funds raised from this year’s tournament will support critical upgrades throughout Oneida Health, including the replacement of every hospital bed and stretcher across the facility. This upgrade is enhancing comfort for patients while equipping providers with modern tools to deliver the highest level of care close to home.
“Replacing aging beds and stretchers is not just an equipment upgrade, it is a critical investment in how we deliver care every single day. These tools are at the center of nearly every patient interaction, and ensuring they are modern, reliable, and safe directly supports both patient comfort and clinical outcomes. Updated equipment also reduces strain on our staff, helping prevent injuries and creating a safer, more efficient environment for everyone involved.” said Felissa Koernig, President and CEO of Oneida Health.
Participants fueled their play for the day with snacks and drinks from the “hospital bed bar,” a creative and meaningful reminder of the campaign’s focus on replacing essential equipment. The unique feature sparked conversation, added a memorable touch to the event, and helped connect attendees in a tangible way to the everyday tools that play such a critical role in patient care and staff safety.
“It was an incredible day and a powerful reminder of the impact philanthropy has on our mission,” said Daniel Huffer, President of the Oneida Health Foundation. “Through the generosity of our community, we are able to invest in the people, programs, and equipment that strengthen patient care and support, ensuring Oneida Health can meet the needs of those they serve today and into the future.”
The event was made possible thanks to the generous support and participation of numerous community partners, whose contributions, sponsorships, and volunteer efforts played a vital role in bringing the day to life and advancing the mission of Oneida Health.
“It was so great to see our community come together in support of Oneida Health,” said Sara Reinhardt, Director of the Oneida Health Foundation. “The generosity of our sponsors and partners, including Mastrovito Chevrolet and The Brooklyn Pickle, truly made the day possible, and working with Yahnundasis Golf Club was a wonderful and rewarding experience. We were also incredibly grateful for the support of volunteers from the Oneida Health Auxiliary, NBT Bank, Community Bank, and so many others who helped make the event such a success. Events like this really highlight how much can be accomplished when our community rallies around our mission.”
While this event was a tremendous success, it’s only the beginning. The Oneida Health Foundation looks forward to continuing this momentum with our community, with more events and new opportunities for donors to get involved and make a meaningful difference in patient care. As a nonprofit healthcare system, Oneida Health relies on the generosity and partnership of our community to help us invest in the people, programs, and equipment that support exceptional care. Supporting Oneida Health is truly supporting the health and well-being of our entire community for decades to come.
